We are pleased to feature StormSecure Bahama and Colonial Shutters from Southern Extrusions, Inc.  These durable systems are made using unique, patent-pending extruded aluminum frames and double-walled tubular slats.  The assembled shutter is finished with an advanced thermal curing powder coating system in any of a rainbow of color choices.  

The StormSecure  Bahama and Colonial shutter models have a significant advantage over similar shutters from other manufacturers.  The strength of the frame and slat system is high enough to withstand impacts from large missiles without the use of a backing panel of any kind.  This provides owners with a more aesthetically pleasing and useable shutter.

And, when storm winds blow, these beautiful shutters can be secured to the home in a variety of ways - even from the inside of the home!

Hurricane-rated or decorative-only shutters made from advanced composite materials (pultruded fiberglass/PVC) are available through Atlantic Shutters, a Tapco Industry.  Shutters in virtually every architectural style are available in the Atlantic Select series.  The Atlantic Stonefield shutter types are available in fewer choices, but are more economical.

Both types of Atlantic composite shutters are available with architecturally accurate shutter hardware and details that add a note of distinction to your home.  Most models of the Select series can be equipped with a polycarbonate backing panel that allows these shutters to achieve large missile impact ratings.
